While in Dallas, Teddy has worked regionally at the Dallas Theatre Center, playing Bardolph in Shakespeare’s Henry IV (parts 1 and 2), directed by DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty, as well as Max in the musical Cabaret, directed by DTC Artistic Associate Joel Ferrell. Also while in Dallas, Teddy has worked at The Undermain Theatre, playing the role of Professor Jay Spellman, in the World Premier of Len Jenkin’s play Time in Kafka, directed by Undermain Artistic Director Kathrine Owens. - Blues for Mr. Charlie
Directed by Patricia McGregor (Broadway's Hurt Village and Fela), performances will take place April 25-29 at Southern Methodist University with Teddy Spencer as Reverend Phelps.
This extraordinary play by James Baldwin is dedicated to the memory of murdered civil rights activist Medgar Evers and the tragedy of Emmett Till. Its 1964 premiere was praised in The New York Times for its “...fierce energy and passion...like a thunderous battle cry.”
- Santa Rosa Summer Repertory Theatre:
Come May, Teddy will be returning for a 3rd summer, this time as a staff member, with Santa Rosa Summer Repertory Theatre, where he has been cast as Pontius Pilate in the West Coast Premier of Sarah Ruhl's Passion Play. He will also be seen in Avenue Q and The Mousetrap.
- Milwaukee Rep 2012-2013 Acting Internship:
After his final performance in Santa Rosa on August 7th, Teddy will jump on a red-eye flight to Milwaukee, WI to begin rehearsals on August 8th for Stephen Sondheim's Assassins at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre with Artistic Director Mark Clements.
This will be his first show in a season long contract as an intern with The Rep.
